This little girl right here is my cousin, Madison. She was born with down syndrome. Everyday after kindergarten she comes home crying because people say she looks weird or she shouldn’t have no friends because she’s ugly. It so heart breaking to hear Her talk about how she wants to be ‘pretty like the other girls.’ please reblog so I can show her that people think she’s beautiful the way she is.

she’s beautiful, I know my URL kinda contradicts it all, but for a week I danced with/taught dance to a bunch of kids with Downs Syndrome, they were just people, sure they looked different but they were some of the nicest girls and guys I’d ever met, seriously so affectionate and nice and considerate, I made friends with a kid called David or something, and he was such a sweet lovely guy, all the best to him. 

my auntie has downs syndrome, and she is literally my favorite person in the world.
and she tells me all the time how she thinks shes beautiful even though other people throughout her life have told her she isnt.

I helped out and taught a special needs class for a few in High School for one of my child development classes… I have seriously never met such awesome kids before. They were so incredible, sweet, and loving…not to mention they could kick anyones ass in video and board games! I’d do it all over again. Your cousin is absolutely adorable.
